Contactless Sleep Monitoring
Project Scope
The ability to quantify bio factors, such as heart rate, breath rate, overall movement, and overall temperature, will provide parents and physicians with critical sleep tracking information to ensure optimal sleep for those who suffer from sleep-related issues and sensory issues. The final product will need to be affordable or covered by insurance, so there needs to be a reputable clinical trial. Additionally, it needs to be manufactured easily so that it is a commercially viable product. Completion of the product will be signified by a commercially viable prototype that allows for this data to easily be interpreted and shared with physicians and parents by April 2023.

Their Mission:
“zPods® was launched on the idea that when children fall asleep quickly and stay in bed the whole night through, the whole family thrives. Parents get a break from the stresses of the day and more adult time with each other—not to mention more sleep! As for the benefits for children, they have improved emotional, educational, and physical outcomes as they sleep better. The list of sleep environment recommendations that sleep experts give is long and often difficult to implement in the variety of housing situations we live in. We simplify these needs by providing enclosure—a proven tool for calming—to entice children to yearn for bedtime instead of dreading it.” - zPods®
